I use a wine cooler just to keep my cigars at the right temp. I used humidibags and a humidor, so I don't use the cooler as a humidor. Anyways, your best bet is to use a Johnson external temperature control unit which I bought for about $60. I set it to 68 degrees because it has a 2.5 degrees give and take. I like my set up. It's super easy to maintain.

I've recently set up a wine cooler humidor to regulate the temperature for my cigars - its not that hot here yet in UK, but its already 70 F inside my apartment. The cooler has a range upto the warmest of 18 C or approx 64 F which i understand to be ok.

I've purchased some humidity beads from Heartfelt Industries but they're taking some time to get here in the post. Hopefully they'll do the job - a number of people on other sites recommend them. Oh one thing you need to check when getting your cooler is that its thermoelectric otherwise i think it destabilizes the humidity.

Here in the UK I order cigars from Switzerland - www.cigarone.com but i'm not sure how the prices compare to those out in Canada. They only do cubans but this site does non cubans too www.doncigarro.com.

I have purchased a wine cooler-- but the highest low setting for the temp. is about 55 degrees F. This is too cold for cigars.--- so what do you do to keep the temp. in the higher range? (70 degrees F).. Also where do I find the crystals for the humidity?
