  1. Just visited this store. Trying to find best prices in Toronto as we all know how the price varies.
Good selection of Cohibas and Montes and other cuban brands but still pricey. Monte # 2’s were $30.
Prices are good for the non-Cubans like Rocky Patel and Alec Bradley’s.
The gentleman helping me was super friendly and very helpful. Gave me lots of great advice.

  2. Just called the store regarding product availability and price. I couldn’t remember the information that was given to me and called the store back after 45mins. They salesperson or owner could not speak good english and was very very rude, even as to question me why I’m calling as if I’m not supposed to. I felt very offended and will never go to this store, ever. If you are looking for great friendly customer service, avoid this place at all costs.

  3. Drove all the way from Oakville to check this spot out on 9/11 and when I got there I found the place to very nice with some really great stuff for sale St Dupont Wow!!! There was a great selection of Cigar all around and I was itching to have a 8-9-8 but when I went to enter the Humi which was locked and the older guy behind the counter said you want cigar? I said yes and he unlocked the door I entered and he was right behind me and followed my every move which made me feel very uncomfortable and pissed at the same time. Needless to say I didn’t by any smokes from this place. I think if one is going to invest time and money into a Cigar Shop they should know proper smoke shop etiquette!

  4. Not impressed.

Pros: nice looking store, large humidor with a variety of products.

Cons: high prices, limited selection of moderately priced cubans, a crusty asian fellow who treats you like he is doing you a favour for being there, you are not allowed in the humidor room unless he is 12 inches behind you, you are not allowed to touch any cigar unless you buy it. I may be wrong, but smelling and feeling the cigar is part of the selection process.

Not sure if I’ll go back.

  5. Drove up to Thornhill from downtown Toronto to buy a few Cubans, yesterday. Was excited about the prospect of finding an affordable alternative to the downtown shops. Unfortunately, I hadn’t read the comments of the other reviewers, but will echo their concerns. I share disappointment, and will not return.

Prices were nothing special – definitely not 2.5×Cuba – closer to 4×Cuba, right around the level of the Yorkville shops. The owner (elderly Asian man) was incredibly rude, arrogant really. He does not allow customers to handle cigars, even those in cellophane. When I asked how we are to inspect before purchasing, he pontificated that customers can’t tell the quality of a cigar through visualizing its construction or by feel (even if that were true, it seemed to dismissive). He said the shops that let you handle cigars are in violation of health code (is that actually true?).

I felt hurried and uncomfortable while in the humidor. As soon as I stepped out, he started closing the shop. It was about 7:30PM, and sign said open till 8PM. Although I spent $70, he never said “thank you” or “see you again”, just started talking to his wife (presumably) in another language.

If you live in the core, I recommend you save you gas money and buy from the friendly purveyors of fine cigars (LCDH, TH) in downtown Toronto.

  6. I visited this shop the same day as DSK, but oddly, came away with a very different impression, although I agree the prices are not particularly low.

I was served by a young fellow, who was very friendly and helpful, offering suggestions for less expensive alternatives to try. He did mention the “regulation” that meant the customer could not touch the cigars until they were purchased. As a cigar noob, that really was not an issue for me, and I kind of like the idea of knowing that the cigar I buy was not handled by “whoknowswho” before I stick it in my mouth! I know there is a clause in the Tobacco Act, which says something to the effect that the product can’t be handled by the public.

I bought a few different things to try out, but later realized I did not make any notes of what I bought, and there were no details on the CC receipt. I phoned the store right after they opened Sunday noon, and the older gent who answered the phone was very patient and helpful in matching up what I had with the exact product and price.

  7. Just thought to share my view on the store, i live in the area and thought to give it a try, the humidor is quite the size, lots of choices to have and lots of different choices from lower to higher costs. Overall he helped me to choose a few to try out, gave me matches and wood sticks for free when i mentioned that i forgot the lighter at home.store prices seemed to be the same for me, will go back for a few more times. He’s right about the healthy code, would you like it if the cigar you choose had been touched by some random customers. You can ask any of the owners to turn cigar around, so that you’ll sure of the quality of it, that they can do and they’ll help you to get a better choice. Overall 9/10 store…

by the way, i arrived to the store at 8:25 PM and he was still opened and took his time with me

  8. Really nice shop to give a tour, i’d say its worth the visit. As mentioned above, The old Asian guy can be crusty, but the younger (Also asian) fellow is very helpful. He seems value custumors much better than the owner somehow and treated me very calmly and with respect. Price is fair for Cuban, actully a great selection and quality for most of the cigars or atleast the ones i have purchased from the store. I’d give this store a 8.5/10 to be fair.

  9. Visited this nice shop few days back,
It looks small from the outside, but its fairly big once you enter. The stores has nice eye candies, but i dont think they restock very often apart from their cigars. That being my only complaint, the prices for cubans were about the same as most other cigar retailers, but they have a very nice selection anyhow. Like the guy above me mentioned, the quality of the cigars i have purchased from this store is mint indeed. There are two staffs i have encountered so far, which I believe are Father and son. Had a good chat with the father actully, maybe because we were probably from the same generation.

This is my personal rating for this shop..

    Cigar Quality: 5 / 5
    Cigar Price: 3.5 / 5
    Staff & service: 5 / 5
    Quantity & Availability of cigar Brands : 4 / 5
