Also picked up one of these on my visit to LCDH on the weekend. Took a little searching through the storage drawers for an outer carton to ascertain that the date on it was probably 2007, so very much looking forward to trying this.

Alas, Clarence, when I went to your site, I couldn't view it. You have to "Register" to read anything--is this normal?

I wanted to thank for the interesting read; this is the sort of stuff that keeps me entertained through my day. I havve been looking around for your blog after it being suggest by a colleague and was happy when I was able to find it after looking for a while.

As a blogger myself, Its great to see others taking initiative and giving back to the community. Just wanted to show my gratitude for your work as it is very motivating, and many bloggers do not get the credit they deserve. I'll come back later to read more and will tell my friends.

Feel free to check out my site if you wish.

A whole box! How long would that box last you, Matthew? I reckon it would last me about...one month, in the summertime. Of course, if we really had summer-like weather (we didn't this summer) but theoretically, one box of Secretos would last me two or three months of good summer weather. You know, lots of patios to relax and smoke on plus those warm summer nights anywhere there is a place to sit back and relax with a small cigar (Robustos is usually the 'smallest' cigar I smoke, 'usually'.)

Wow these are good! Received a box on Saturday and after a long day at work I popped open the box and tried one - they are really really good i love the sweetness of the maduro wrapper. These could be my new favourite!

Would be good to see some more video reviews - perhaps the new Boli EL?

Sorry, I forgot to mention the real reason for replying to your review. I find that the Secretos embody a strong richness that the Genios or Magicos models lack. These little guys have such a nice concentrated but powerful body to them. Do you find this to be true? How do you find the richness/strength of this cigar? (Not to be confused with the taste/flavour.)

That's interesting--you paired it with ice water. I tend to do that with the Genios but, I always try and use bottled water whenever I can. It brings out/renews the raw cigar-smokey taste in the cigar. Once in awhile, I'll deviate from a wee dram of Scotch and have nothing with my cigar---just to get the unadulterated, stand alone, bold taste of it. As a matter of fact, I think I'm beginning to enjoy it a bit too much!
