Nub Connecticut 464 Quick Review
Price: $21.80 4-Pack
Size: 64 x 4 (Torpedo)
Paired with: Coffee
I am a big fan of Oliva cigars specially Special S and Serie V. This morning I decided to try the new Nub Connecticut 464 and paired it with my morning coffee.
Construction is flawless and it cut really well except a little crack in the cap. Cigar started really nice with medium body and with rich flavors of toasted almonds and a bit of coffee notes coming across. Burn was excellent and the ash held all the way to the end. Closed to the final third cigar became medium to full and all rich flavors with a bit of pepper were coming across. I don’t think aging this cigar will help because they smoke well out of the box and I did not taste any young flavors at all.

I definitely recommend this cigar if you are skeptical of NUb marketing because they have really put allot of time in blending this cigar.

Nice Site layout for your blog. I am looking forward to reading more from you.

Tom, thanks for the feedback. Lately I am trying to keep it up-to-date with my daily cigar activities.
I’ve always wanted to try the Oliva Serie V torpedo–one day, I’ll get around to it.
What’s the size of this torpedo(?) you are smoking? Is it really four inches?
It keeps looking tinier and tinier as I move down the picture column. Due to the bandwith in the first picture, I’d say it was only two inches long to begin with. Man, that’s a small (and quick) smoke!
(Silly thought: This looks like it’s made for kids! I’m into smoking huge ring sizes–the smallest I have is about a 49 robusto; the largest is a 60 toro)
P.S. Alex, am I automatically registered for “Cigar Events” on your website because I have a log in name and password? Do I need to re-register or something? And…
…when is the first Cigar Event you are planning? How about a get together somewhere with other members of this site for a smoke?
Summer’s almost over! GASP! <:O
This cigar is really fat and really short. Great flavors as any Oliva. We do have member get togethers sometimes either at Black Bull or Drake Hotel on Queen street. Let me know if you are interested and we can invite you to our next get together.
Okay, just let me know about a week in advance of (almost) any Saturday evening–smoooooo-kin’!
P.S. Brrrr, it’s starting to get c-c-c-cold on the patio now!
